Taking the lead

The Global Maritime Forum’s 2019 Annual Summit took place in Singapore on 30-31 October. The meeting convened the leaders from across the maritime spectrum who have the will to address the burning issues facing the maritime industry.

The Global Maritime Forum looks forward to welcoming media from around the world to its Annual Summit in Singapore on 30-31 October 2019.

There will be a dedicated area for the press with working facilities and Wi-Fi. Please bring your own laptop. There will be catered food and beverages.

During closed working sessions and breaks, participants in the Global Maritime Forum, experts and the press can meet in the mixed zone. The Global Maritime Forum team will assist you with setting up interviews in the mixed zone.

The 2019 edition of the UNCTAD Review of Maritime Transport will be launched on 30 October. The report examines how world maritime trade fared over the last year in the face of heightened global uncertainty, escalating tariff wars between the US and China, the climate change challenge for sustainable shipping, and structural changes within the industry.
